It is a special occasion that occurs every 25 years and it is an important time for Catholics to celebrate and grow in our faith.


During the Holy Year, the Church offers the faithful a plenary indulgence, that is remission of sins for ourselves and for all our loved ones. The most well-known rite is the opening of the Holy Doors- only open during the Jubilee Year. These rites symbolizes the opening of the gates mercy.


Together with pilgrims from around the world, we will have an opportunity to pass through these Holy Doors and encounter the grace of this declared year of favor. May our Jubilee Year Pilgrimage be blessed!

  • A non-refundable deposit of $500 is required to reserve the spot. It will be applied to the Land Package only. 
  • Flights are not included in the Marian Pilgrimage Package. You are responsible for all aspects of airline arrangements, this includes pre-departure documentations and entry requirements to all countries in the itinerary. 
  • Notre Dame Tours offers Land Package with Airfare. Please reach out if you are interested. 
  • Although we strive to make the tour easy-going and self-paced, it is still physically active. Daily walking mileage is from 5-6 miles on average. 
  • You are responsible for additional expenses acquired during free-time sightseeing.

DAY 02

  • Riva Promenade: The stunning waterfront boulevard that runs along Split’s harbor, offering one of the most picturesque and lively spots in the city. Stretching from the entrance of Diocletian’s Palace to the marina, the promenade is lined with swaying palm trees, elegant benches, and a wide array of cafés and restaurants, making it the perfect place to soak in Split’s vibrant atmosphere and enjoy views of the Adriatic Sea.
  • Diocletian Palace: One of the most impressive and well-preserved Roman structures in the world. Built at the turn of the 4th century AD by the Roman Emperor Diocletian as his retirement residence, the palace is more than just a singular building—it’s a sprawling fortress-like complex that forms the historic core of modern-day Split. It’s also a UNESCO World Heritage site, recognized for its exceptional architectural and historical significance.
  • Cathedral of Saint Domnius: Located in the heart of Split, Croatia, is one of the city’s most iconic landmarks and an architectural masterpiece. Originally built as the mausoleum of the Roman Emperor Diocletian in the 4th century, it was later transformed into a Christian cathedral, making it one of the oldest cathedrals still in use today.

DAY 03

Welcome to Medjugorje - "between mountains"

Planned Itinerary: 

  • Rosary prayer at Apparition Hill: According to the local tradition and the accounts of six young visionaries, the Virgin Mary, known as Our Lady of Medjugorje, has allegedly appeared on the hill numerous times, delivering messages of peace, faith, prayer, repentance, and conversion. For devout Catholics and pilgrims, Apparition Hill serves as a sacred site of spiritual pilgrimage, where one can pray, reflect, and seek spiritual guidance
  • Climb Monte Križevac: Monte Križevac is believed to be the site where the Franciscans of Medjugorje constructed a large concrete cross in 1933 to commemorate the 1900th anniversary of Jesus Christ's crucifixion. The cross stands as a focal point of prayer and meditation for pilgrims who visit Medjugorje. At the summit of Monte Križevac, pilgrims encounter a large, illuminated cross, providing a profound symbol of faith and redemption. The panoramic view from the top also offers an opportunity for spiritual reflection and contemplation.

Our expedition commences in the picturesque town of Medjugorje, nestled amidst the rolling hills of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Known for its spiritual significance, this charming destination draws pilgrims from across the globe to witness the reputed apparitions of the Virgin Mary. As we bid farewell to this sacred haven, our path unfolds before us, promising a tapestry of captivating sights and experiences.


Finally, as we approached the Veneto region of Italy, the landscape transformed into a mosaic of vibrant colors, with quaint Italian villages nestled among sun-drenched hills. The anticipation grew as we neared Venice, and as we caught our first glimpse of the iconic city rising from the lagoon, it felt like stepping into a dream. With each passing kilometer, the anticipation grew, until at last, we arrived in Venice, ready to immerse ourselves in its timeless beauty and rich history.


From the tranquil sanctuary of Medjugorje to the romantic allure of Venice, this unforgettable journey promises to captivate your senses and leave you with memories to cherish for a lifetime.

Welcome to Venice - "the floating city"

Planned Itinerary: 

  • Basilica di San Marco (Tomb of St. Mark): Originally constructed in the 9th century to house the relics of Saint Mark the Evangelist, the basilica became the symbol of Venetian power and spirituality. The relics of Saint Mark were brought to Venice from Alexandria, Egypt, in the 9th century, elevating the city's religious prestige and solidifying its identity as a major center of Christianity.
  • Piazza San Marco: Considered to be the heart of the city and is one of the most famous and iconic spots in Venice, the square is surrounded by beautiful historic buildings, including St. Mark's Basilica, the Doge's Palace, and the Campanile Bell Tower
  • Doge’s Palace/ Pallazo Ducale: Located on St. Mark's Square in Venice and built in the 14th century, the palace served as the residence of the Doge of Venice, the city's ruler

Explore Tuscany - "The Golden Heartland"

  • Palazzo Vecchio: Served as the political hub of Florence. Constructed in the early 14th century, it housed the city's government institutions, including the seat of the Signoria (the ruling body of the Republic of Florence) and later the office of the Medici rulers

  • Siena Cathedral: Dedicated to the Assumption of Mary, a significant event in Catholic theology where Mary, the mother of Jesus, is believed to have been taken bodily into heaven at the end of her earthly life. This dedication underscores the cathedral's importance as a place of Marian devotion
  • The Gate of Heaven (Porta del Cielo) at Siena Cathedral: Refers to a special access point within the cathedral that leads to an area that includes the cathedral's upper levels, such as the interior of the cathedral's dome, the Piccolomini Library, and the Facciatone (the unfinished facade), provides visitors an opportunity to experience a more elevated perspective of the cathedral's architecture and artwork

  • Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi: The basilica holds immense historical significance as it houses the remains of St. Francis. Pilgrims from around the world visit the basilica to venerate his tomb and to experience the aura of sanctity surrounding the place where the saint lived and worked
  • Basilica of St. Mary of Angels: Houses the Porziuncola Chapel, which is where Saint Francis founded the Franciscan Order in 1209, serving as a focal point for pilgrims seeking to connect with the spirit and teachings of Saint Francis
  • Basilica of Santa Chiara: The basilica is built over the burial site of Saint Clare, who was a close associate of Saint Francis of Assisi and the founder of the Order of Poor Ladies (now known as the Order of Saint Clare or the Poor Clares).   • Monastery of Santa Maria delle Grazia: Padre Pio's home for over fifty years- it was here that he lived, prayed, and carried out his ministry. For devotees of Padre Pio, visiting this monastery allows them to connect with the saint in a deeply personal way and to walk in the footsteps of a revered spiritual figure
  • Convent of San Francesco: Within the convent, visitors can see the cell where Padre Pio lived and prayed, providing a tangible connection to the saint and his spiritual journey. We will drive from the mystical Monte Sant'Angelo, steeped in legend and spirituality, to the eternal city of Rome, where ancient wonders blend with modern vibrancy. Traverse picturesque landscapes, passing through charming Italian towns and lush countryside. 


Planned Itinerary: Rome

  • The Pantheon: Holds significant Catholic importance primarily due to its transformation into a Christian church dedicated to the Virgin Mary and all the Martyrs. (In the early 7th century, Pope Boniface IV consecrated the Pantheon as a church dedicated to St. Mary and the Martyrs. This act symbolized the triumph of Christianity over paganism and the repurposing of a formerly pagan site for Christian worship.)

  • Saint Peter's Square: named after Saint Peter, one of the twelve apostles of Jesus Christ and traditionally regarded as the first Bishop of Rome. It serves as the primary venue for papal gatherings, ceremonies, and blessings, particularly the weekly papal audiences and the Angelus prayer on Sundays and feast days.
  • Saint Peter's Basilica: According to Catholic tradition, Saint Peter was martyred and buried on the Vatican Hill where Saint Peter's Basilica now stands. The basilica is built directly above what is believed to be the tomb of Saint Peter, making it a central pilgrimage site for Catholics worldwide.  It is the symbolic heart of the Catholic Church and serves as the official seat of the Pope, the spiritual leader of the Catholic faith.   • Archbasilica of St. John Lateran: As the oldest and most important of the four major basilicas in Rome, it is often referred to as the "Mother and Head of All Churches of the City and the World," signifying its symbolic leadership over all other churches. It is the cathedral of the Pope as the Bishop of Rome, making it the highest-ranking Catholic cathedral in the world
  • Paul Outside the Walls: The basilica is built over the burial site of Saint Paul the Apostle, one of the most influential figures in early Christianity. His tomb is located beneath the basilica's main altar, making it a destination for pilgrims and believers. The basilica symbolizes the unity of the Catholic Church and its connection to the apostolic tradition. Saint Paul's teachings and writings continue to inspire believers and shape the theology of the Church.
  • Basilica of St. Mary Major: Also known as Santa Maria Maggiore, it is one of the four major basilicas in Rome, dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary, under the title of "Our Lady of the Snows" or "Salus Populi Romani" (Protectress of the Roman People). It is one of the oldest churches dedicated to Mary in the Western world. According to tradition, the basilica's location was chosen after a miraculous snowfall on August 5th, which outlined the perimeter of the church as requested by the Virgin Mary in a vision to Pope Liberius and a wealthy Roman couple.   • Papal Audience: Chance to receive a blessing from the Pope and to experience a moment of spiritual connection. Please note that this is subject to the Pope's schedule. The 10:00am seats are first come, first serve basis and not reservable.
